■ DISCOVERING SOMERSET Documented Digital Photo’s of Somerset towns and villages, showing many of the churches, chapels, rivers, mills, manor houses, castles, post offices, schools, shops, pubs, gardens, canals, etc, the West Somerset Railway (WSR) & the Mineral Line (WSMR). Over 340 places have been recorded so it is a major resource for anyone doing Somerset research and includes many buildings demolished since the pics were taken.

■ The Bridgwater Railway The Bridgwater Railway, operated by the S&DJR, was
opened on 21st July 1890 and ran from Bridgwater through Bawdrip
& Cossington to Edington Junction. Bawdrip Halt was added to the line in 1923. A
railway walk will take place on 21st July 2015 to mark the passing
of 125 years.
